Message From Managing Director

Oman’s Vision 2040, the gateway to become a developed country under His Majesty Haitham bin Tarik, aims at promoting the country’s position in different sectors over the next two decades. One of the goals in ambitions Vision 2040 is developing a favorable environment to attract talents in the labor market.

“Water is joining gold, oil and other commodities traded on Wall Street, highlight worries that life-sustaining natural resource may become scarce across more of the world” – Quoting from Bloomberg of 7th Dec 2020 This phenomenon is nothing new for Oman. Throughout the years, water that flows through its unique `Falaj’ system was sold, mortgaged and even buffered through trade through customary channels – unlike the modern form described in the quoted Bloomberg article above.

Ion Exchange Oman is focused to help find better methods to consume, manage water, and better align supply & demand of this scarce commodity, especially whilst taking population growth into consideration. The idea to manage risks associated with water has certainly increased its importance. One quick fix is to focus more on water treatment plants for recycling water to help alleviate demands and help dwindling water reservoirs.
